Or else I get a planeticket across the Atlantic.Good luck with the editing and postproduction.

Had to make a quick blog entry today because today is a landmark moment in my film's story.
Today I got my very first real income from the movie.
It came in the form of a cashier's check, made out to little ol' me and along came a very nice letter, that really brought a big smile on my face... Yes, it was the letter that made me happy, much more so than the money. Money was never the goal with this film anyway, and if money comes from it, it will be as an accidental by-product of the pure Passion that has fueled this film all along. With kind words such as "Your efforts have produced phenomenal results" and "our tremendous numbers of enthousiatic event attendees are in for a real treat"... How could that letter not bring a huge smile on my face????
Yes: My film premieres in Daytona Beach this October 24rth at 7PM. A Premiere Test Screening which we expect as many as 300 to 2000 spectators will attend.
And yes, the money is heaven sent because I will have to get DVDs pressed very soon and I am flat broke. But God will provide (and apparently once again has).
THREE YEARS OF MY LIFE were given to this film. Night and day. Every year, every month, every week, every day, every minute of those three years were spent working my ass off, with little food and even less sleep. No vacations, no breaks, no "me time" and no option for whining about it either.
David battling Goliath. The little ant that moved a mountain on her own (and help of a few select maniacal friends

. That's me.
Yes I have sacrificed everything for this film and I regret nothing.
Today I am walking with a big smile on my face because I have just about reached the top of that gigantic mountain I set out to climb (with no rope and no safety net) on my own, three years ago.
And the view is pretty damn spectacular from up here.

So where do we go from here? Whether the movie is well received or hated, whether it becomes a cult film or flops pathetically is not what is important here. What really matters is that I DID IT. I set my mind to it and I made the impossible become possible.
And that alone is a HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT I can be proud of for the rest of my life, and the only thing that really matters to me.
That said, it is my greatest desire and hope that this film will touch many people's hearts and that they will fall in love with it as much as I have.
Hail JOHNNY CALLAWAY !!
A legend is born.
